During the week ended Friday, January 23, out of 1899 stocks meeting institutional price and volume criteria, the screens produced the following results :
Cumulative lists of longer-term setups:
- 322 resting big gainers, up from 306 last week
- 355 sleeping dogs, up from 351 last week.
- 151 breakout charts last 8 months- up from 150 last week
- 111 breakdown charts last 8 months –unchanged
Weekly screens of cycle positions.
- 107 met strict major or intermediate trend buy setup criteria up from 54. 51 of those triggered short term buy signals, up from 12 last week.
- 78 met strict major or intermediate trend sell setup criteria, down from 83. 10 triggered short term, up from 11 short term.
Tactics
For actionable trades, I visually review charts that triggered short term signals from the prescreened structural candidates. I also review the existing issues on the list for whether to close, hold, or add or adjust stops. Here are the results of my final review for this week.
