Swing Trade Screen Picks – Adding Shorts

The pick list gained a tad in the past week. It currently shows an average gain of 1.6% on an average holding period of 18 calendar days. That’s up from an average gain of 0.3% on an average holding period of 15 calendar days the week before. This includes currently open picks and those that have hit stops over the past week. Over the past two trading sessions there were 18 charts with a second buy signal on the week, and 77 with a second sell signal. Do I detect a theme? In the previous week there were 46 charts with a second buy signal on the week, and 161 with a second sell signal. I took a look at all of the charts and walked away with no new buys and 5 new shorts. I’ll give them a little room to breathe before adding stops. Non-subscribers click here for access.

I will start tracking the new picks based on a price assuming a half position at the open and half at the close today, January 25, 2024. I have added or adjusted stops on most of the picks. See the current stop levels on the table. Non-subscribers click here for access.

We’ll be running with 18 open picks this week including the 5 new ones. Of those, only 5 will be longs, and 13 are shorts. Non-subscribers click here for access.
